Malaysia: BP Healthcare partners with Microsoft to improve its digital health services
Singapour - Published Thursday, May 11, 2017 - 14:00 - #3558 BP HealthcareBP Healthcare Group, a Malaysian primary healthcare provider, announced on May 3, 2017 that it had signed a partnership with MicrosoftMicrosoft Malaysia to digitally transform its continuum of care and provide new healthcare services.A Memorandum of Understanding to formalize this alliance was signed between Ali Health, a member of the BP Healthcare group of companies, and Microsoft.
Doctor2U: a healthcare ecosystem developed on a single application
Partner efforts will focus on the digital health application Doctor2U, developed by Ali Health. The goal is to create a entire healthcare ecosystem integrated into a single application.
As part of this collaboration, Doctor2U will leverage on Microsoft's cloud-based services to integrate artificial intelligence and machine learning into its platform. These technologies will enable Doctor2U to harness users' data and offer more effective treatments plans for patients.
The main service of the device is a service called "Doctor House Call", which allows to bring a doctor to the patient's home within sixty minutes. The app also offers a video consultation feature and a medication delivery service.
High Tech: Microsoft provides its expertise to develop BP Healthcare eHealth services
Doctor2U is build on Microsoft Azure, the US-based group's cloud computing platform, and uses the Microsoft’s bot framework for its live chat feature, that allows patients to exchange with doctors, pharmacists and nutritionists for free.
Microsoft will also partner with BP Healthcare to promote the service through a series of digital campaigns.
